SGEG aims to increase the number of women and girls in all levels of education interested in pursuing a STEM career through volunteer and outreach activities. We hope to help broaden people’s perception of who a scientist is and what scientists do to help inspire the next generation of female scientists.
SGEG works with Project Scientist to host an annual campus visit and lab tour. Project Scientist has established a robust and focused STEM pipeline to advance girls and women, of all ages, in their STEM interests and passions.
SGEG also hosts an annual booth at Explore Your Universe, UCLA’s largest annual science fair.
