The goal of our career development activities are to help women in the geosciences advance their careers by drawing awareness to the various career opportunities within the geosciences and prepare members with the tools and skills they need to achieve their career goals.
We regularly fund members to attend an industry career conference hosted by the Los Angeles chapter of Graduate Women in Science, Across the STEMverse.
We host a ‘Galentine’s’ Day event in February where members evaluate their goals in both their personal and professional lives and explore where those converge and diverge.
Additionally, we support members working with UCLA’s Career Center and Graduate Writing Center.
